Exelisis was a major player in the recent hybrid formatted 5th Consortium meeting of the FreeMe Project, which enabled project partners to participate virtually as well as in person. The discussion took place in person at Arcelik’s offices in Istanbul, Turkey, and attendees virtually joined from other places.
A number of significant updates and benchmarks were covered in the conference, underscoring the project’s continuous development:
Senior researcher at EXELISIS Dr. Kostas Pyrgakis gave a presentation on the most recent advancements in the development of a Decision Support Tool intended for the plating on plastics procedure. The purpose of this tool is to help enterprises make well-informed decisions when it comes to coating plastic materials with metal. During his presentation, he outlined a clear path for future development and commercialisation, with an emphasis on the actions being taken to guarantee the tool is suitable for market deployment.
The FreeMe Project’s dissemination manager, Mrs. Melina Psycha, gave a report on the project’s training, communication, and dissemination initiatives. As the primary partner for these domains, EXELISIS has been spearheading endeavors to augment the project’s prominence, involve relevant parties, and guarantee that expertise and resources generated throughout the project are efficiently disseminated to the broader community. During her presentation, Mrs. Psycha stressed the need of continuing to promote the project’s findings and provide training materials for industry partners.
The project partners expressed pleasure with the work made thus far, and the meeting proved to be quite successful. The FreeMe Project, which aims to advance environmentally friendly materials processing methods, is proceeding without any problems. Partners are still dedicated to seeing the project through to its completion, making sure that the innovations created will benefit the environment and the industry alike.
