EXELISIS was proud to take part in MicrobeTech 2025, a key event in microbial innovation co-organised by the BIOSYSMO and BIOREM projects. Held at the Jožef Stefan Institute (JSI) in Ljubljana, the event brought together nearly 100 participants—researchers, students, and industry professionals—from across Europe.
The three-day programme featured a public workshop, a poster session, a summer school, and internal meetings. As part of the organising committee, EXELISIS helped shape a dynamic agenda and foster cross-disciplinary knowledge exchange.
Our team presented advances in metabolic modelling and microbial-assisted phytoremediation during the Summer School, while the BIOSYSMO technical meeting focused on challenges and future steps in biosystems design.
A highlight was the poster session, showcasing over 20 research projects and awarding two standout contributions.
MicrobeTech 2025 demonstrated the value of collaboration in tackling environmental challenges through microbial technologies. Special thanks to our partners—IDENER.AI, Universidad de Burgos (ICCRAM), JSI, and all contributors—for a successful and impactful event.
