From 10–12 February 2026, Dr. Ioanna Katsavou from EXELISIS IKE participated in the 42-month General Assembly meeting of the BIOSYSMO Project. The three-day meeting, held in Spain, provided a platform for consortium members to review project progress, discuss technical developments, and plan the next steps toward achieving the project’s objectives.
The meeting was hosted across two locations:
Day 1: LEITAT Headquarters — Barcelona, Spain
Day 2: LEITAT Headquarters — Terrassa, Spain
During the sessions, partners presented updates on ongoing activities, shared insights from pilot studies, and explored collaborative opportunities to enhance the impact of BIOSYSMO’s bioremediation solutions. The event served as a valuable forum for aligning work across the consortium and ensuring that all partners are coordinated as the project moves toward its final phase.
Looking ahead, EXELISIS IKE is preparing for the final BIOSYSMO event, which will take place as part of BioRemid 2026 in Florence, Italy. EXELISIS is proud to contribute to the organising committee, working alongside sister projects to highlight the consortium’s achievements and demonstrate the real-world impact of BIOSYSMO’s innovative microbial-based approaches to soil restoration.
