From 12–13 February 2026, Dr. Apostolos Parlamas from EXELISIS IKE attended the 45-month consortium meeting of the FreeMe Project, held in Sevilla, Spain. The meeting brought together project partners to review the progress achieved to date, discuss technical developments, and coordinate the next steps as the project approaches its final phase.
During the sessions, partners exchanged updates on ongoing research, shared insights from experimental results, and aligned on key deliverables, ensuring that all activities remain on track to achieve the project’s objectives. The meeting provided an important forum for collaboration and planning, reinforcing the strong partnership across the consortium.
Looking ahead, the FreeMe Project will celebrate its final event at the COATINGS 2026 Conference in Athens, Greece, an event co-organised by EXELISIS IKE and MDPI. This final gathering will showcase the project’s achievements, highlight innovative PFAS-free coating solutions, and offer opportunities for networking and knowledge exchange with the wider scientific and industrial community.
