EXELISIS IKE is delighted to invite you to the Final Event of the Horizon Europe project nexus monARC, a pioneering initiative focused on developing integrated, next-generation approaches for monitoring water quality across the Hellenic Volcanic Arc. This closing event marks an important milestone, bringing together researchers, policymakers, and stakeholders to reflect on the project’s achievements and discuss future directions.
The event is proudly organised by EXELISIS IKE and the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), and will take place on:

Participants will have the opportunity to attend a rich program of presentations and discussions, highlighting the project’s scientific, technological, and societal contributions. Key thematic sessions include:
– Environmental monitoring and citizen science: Exploring innovative tools and community-driven methodologies for tracking water quality.
– Synergies with sister projects (SANTORY & DiverSea): Showcasing collaborative research efforts and shared outcomes within the marine and environmental monitoring landscape.
– Intellectual property and spin-off development: A session led by EXELISIS, focusing on pathways to innovation uptake, commercialisation, and long-term sustainability.
– Innovation, partnerships, and capacity building at NKUA: Presenting opportunities for research collaboration, training, and strengthening scientific networks in Greece and beyond.
This final event is an excellent opportunity to connect with experts, exchange perspectives, and explore how cutting-edge science, digital innovation, and community engagement can jointly support the protection of marine ecosystems.
